A short introduction to
Christina Hoyer and ZFOKUS

I’m 46 years old. I have a MBA and a Master’s degree in Music from Aarhus University, Denmark.

Previous to starting my own business, I have worked as a radio presenter and project manager at the Danish Broadcasting Association (DR). I have also been employed as an external consultant, handling various financial, marketing and planning tasks for theatres, concert halls and various media.

In 2005, I started my own business (ZFOKUS). I offer various group and one-to-one teaching sessions in presentation technique and personal communication. Much of my presentation technique teaching is based on personal experience. For more than 6 years, I have taught, coached and spoken at public and corporate events all over Scandinavia.

In 2009, I wrote a book on presentation technique. It takes the reader through various communication challenges, offering straightforward tips and ideas as to how to solve them.

In 2010, one of my colleagues and I were introduced to Prezi by an American exchange student, who’d used Prezi for most of his university presentations – and become famous for them among his fellow students and professors. When he showed us one of his Prezis, I immediately recognized the potential of this new presentation tool – and was thrilled to experience the non-linear, holistic and playful approach to presentations that Prezi announced. I became an immediate convert. 3 months later, I held my first Prezi workshop – and bookings are now steadily coming in.
